Training: The Remuneration Committee

Next session is 25th March 2026 – or sign up to hear about future sessions or arrange bespoke training for your board

Remuneration committees have never felt more under pressure and scrutiny; and the need for confident, strong leadership on strategic remuneration has never been more important.

In recognition of the unique pressures that exist in chairing or serving on a remuneration committee, we are offering training aimed at equipping non-executive directors to fulfil this demanding and challenging role.

The day is for both new-to-role NEDs, who can use it as an opportunity to learn the key requirements of the role, and experienced remuneration committee members who would welcome the chance to make sure they are up to date on the latest thinking about executive remuneration.

The session will be fully interactive, using live examples of good and bad practice, and covering a wide range of crucial areas, including:

  • How to make the linkage between corporate strategy and remuneration
  • The legal duties and requirements of remuneration committee members
  • How to construct a remuneration report
  • Effective communication with shareholders regarding remuneration
  • FCA / PRA requirements in relation to remuneration
  • Examples of good practice
  • Remuneration governance and the annual timetable
  • Checklists for compliance and an opportunity to discuss problems and experiences with other participants.

This session will be delivered by experts at MM&K, the specialist remuneration consultancy. The course will be led by Paul Norris who has over 30 years’ experience in executive remuneration consulting.
